RED HOT STARTED WITH THE MISSION TO REBRAND THE GINGER MALE STEREOTYPE BY SHOWCASING GINGER MEN AS CONFIDENT AND DESIRABLE. THIS MOVEMENT STARTED IN 2013 WITH PHOTOGRAPHER AND FELLOW GINGER, THOMAS KNIGHTS. IT WAS HIS GOAL TO PUT THE REDHEADED MALE ON A PEDESTAL AND MAKE HIS HAIR COLOUR THE STAR OF THE SHOW. HAVING FIRST-HAND KNOWLEDGE OF THE DISCRIMINATION THAT GINGER MEN USUALLY ENCOUNTER GROWING UP, HE WANTED THIS PROJECT TO INSPIRE OTHER REDHEADS TO FEEL COMFORTABLE IN THEIR OWN SKIN AND EMBRACE WHAT MAKES THEM TRULY UNIQUE. 

 THE RESPONSE WAS OVERWHELMINGLY POSITIVE. THE INITIATIVE DEEPLY RESONATES WITH THE REDHEAD COMMUNITY AND ANYONE WHO IDENTIFIES AS "DIFFERENT FROM THE NORM". AS A RESULT, RED HOT HAS CREATED A GLOBAL MOVEMENT OF PROUD, EMPOWERED GINGER MEN AND THEIR FANS, WHO HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING AND SUPPORTING OUR MISSION SINCE ITS INCEPTION. 

 NOW IN ITS 8TH YEAR, WITH 17 CALENDARS, 2 ART BOOKS, AN UNDERWEAR LINE AND A GLOBAL EXHIBITION UNDER ITS BELT, RED HOT HAS POSITIONED ITSELF AS THE ONLY BRAND IN THE WORLD FOCUSED ON THE GINGER MALE. AS PART OF ITS DIVERSITY MOVEMENT AND GLOBAL ANTI-BULLYING CAMPAIGN, RED HOT HAS RAISED OVER £65,000 FOR VARIOUS CHARITIES AND GOOD CAUSES INCLUDING THE DIANA AWARD AND THE TERRENCE HIGGINS TRUST.
